Itinerary A - From plaza Catalunya to the docks
Length: 1.5 kilometres
Description: The starting point of this route is in plaza Catalunya, in the centre of Blanes, and it follows the seafront down to the port. The entire way is flat and should not present any difficulties.
Points of interest en route: La Casa del Pueblo is a building constructed in the twenties and recently renovated that acts as an important cultural, recreational and political center. El Frare is a monument erected in memory of the Blanes writer Joaquim Ruyra. Paseo de la Mestrança is a zone where, historically, one of the town\'s shipyards was located, which was of great importance to the state during the XIX century. The casa Saladrigas, constructed in 1926, is at the beginning of the walk and is presently destined for cultural uses.
Old fishmarket, constructed in the 30\'s and 40\'s.
New fishmarket, where every afternoon the fish auction takes place. The docks, where the fishing fleet moors, was constructed beginning in 1914.
Punta Santa Anna is a small cove located at the edge of the port\'s esplanade.
